Arrow and Slocan Lakes lie in the northwest Kootenays, amid the Monashee and Selkirk ranges and within
the Columbia and Slocan River valleys. About 6,000 people live and work in the area.
Arrow and Slocan Lakes Community Services (ASLCS) is located in the Village of Nakusp, a community of
1,700 near the centre of the region.
ASLCS provides a full range of programs and services. Centres served include those in the upper Arrow
and upper Slocan Lakes areas - Trout Lake, Edgewood, Fauquier, Burton, Hills, New Denver-Silverton and
Nakusp, the hub.
